There was so much wrong with that whole post, but I'll just quote that.

haha i can vouch that efmonty does shift at 5200 sometimes even later. Sound tuff as and is still making power. If you shift too low it wont have the revs to be able to rev up quick enuff in the next gear to make decent power! My 2 cents

Don'e be a whuss and back out. That's worse than actually loosing the drag!!!

I wouldn't be too worried if I were you.

Let me share my experience I had when I had my old 5 speed VP commie (no flaming unless it's funny please);

I was lined up at the lights, sitting next to an AU (I assume it was auto) which looked very stock (no zorst or aftermarket wheels) and thought I would have him, as I knew the auto Falcons were doughy off the line.
The lights turned green and holy s**t, the bloke was sitting with me side by side up to 80, then he just f**k off real quick. My commie had the obligatory 2 1/2" cat back, pod filter and a chip.

Moral of the story: Have a go and stop ya sookin'. You never know, you might just get him then you could come back to this thread and tell us all about it....
