Check for spark, check your fuel pump is pumping at good pressure.

Thats a good start.

My ED died on me a few days ago.....Turned out to be the coil.So as PIMP_LTD said, Check for spark. If there is no spark I'd almost certaintly recommend getting a new coil. (Or better still, Borrow one to test it).

My EF died recently due to the fuel pump. Open the boot, lift the left hand side floor carpet and get a mate to turn the ignition for you - if you can't hear the fuel pump making a whizzing noise under the round black plate in the floor, it could definitely be that - or else the power supply to the pump etc...

take the cover off (like 8 screws) get a large screw driver and pound the top of the sender with the handle or hit with a rubber mallet if it fails to start it is the pump or with the cover off ya can hear the thing better

So are you saying that there is power leading up to the pump but not at the point where it connects to the pump? I'm a bit confused. If you are getting power at the plugs but not at the pump, I'd say the pump is gone. You can get a Goss fuel pump for $100 if you're lucky and shop around. It's a direct replacement.

Guess you'd better check the wires along their length to find out where it's buggered - I dunno; I don't claim to know anything about electrics
