Hi from the UK!

I have a problem with the ISC valve on my EF XR6. The unit itself is fine, being brand new, but on following the checks as laid out in the Haynes manual I have found I do not have any battery voltage at the terminals of ISC connector with the ignition key on (engine off), the Haynes manual states i should read between 8 to 10 volts. It then says if no voltage is present, as in my case, check for a blown fuse....Now my question is does anyone know of this ISC fuse, and if so where is it located as I have had no luck in finding it and wondering if it does actually exist?

I was under the impression the driver (transistor) inside the ECU has shat itself.

This happened to my sisters car around 8 yrs ago.

I know a second hand ecu fixed her up.

theres a tech doc on that somewhere round here...

Out of interest, what symptoms would this give?
My ISC doesnt seem to work that great and even after changing with another 2nd hand one that I know worked fine, it made no change.
Have read that the 'idle circuit' in the ECU can short out or something. May look into it depending on what it would cause.
