As far as i know you need to go to Fraud for the Metal AU gasket.

The Au bolts need some grinding of the outside flange to fit inbetween the rokcer gear mounts.

Dont go ACL ford got it right with the AU Metal gasket.... Au's unless something goes very wrong IE big overheat etc... They dont blow head gaskets. So go with the AU metal gasket and bolts.

dont know about the vrs kit... But yes call a few ford dealerships i have heard some dont have the metal gasket.. and yes definately new bolts the au ones. If u re-use the old ones expect broken bolts or a blown headgasket within a week.

i dont mean to sound harsh but a headgasket is a major repair, do not attempt it unless you know what you are doing or have some1 around who does.

also ford do sell a complete VRS kit,and at the same time its not a bad plan to change oil/filter, and get the radiator stipped/cleaned.

Same here, mine fitted no probs, but everyone else reckons they wont fit properly so it makes me think mine were standard issue?

Mate ive rebuilt an engine & done plenty of head gaskets so i know what im doing just not familiar with ford one except for my old man Ea cos ive never had to fix my falcons :)

So... if i get a AU VRS kit with the head bolts it should be ok? Are all the valve seals etc same?

Just cos I went to ford, repco & auto one today & noone else has heard about using a AU gasket & dont advise it atall!
