Guys.

Whats required to put an EL Engine in an EF? - Does the EL have the right mounts etc for the Cam angle sensor, and crank position sensor already?

Thanks

I think they do and all you have to change is the distributor to a coil pack...but don't quote me on that. I'll let someone to either confirm or deny my comment.

Okay, the crank sensor wont mount without using the EF cam chain cover as they milled it down and threaded it in, you'll have to take off the balancer to put the EF item with chopper wheel on.

The cam angle sensor that sits where the dizzy sits goes in a treat but make sure you use the EF retention bracket and bolt.

Everything else should be the same really as long as you use your EF engine harness.

Check your engine mounts while you're at it.

which also reminds me - does the EL use the same hydraulic engine mounts?

and what are the symptoms? - there is a driveline shudder at 105-115km/h on the new car

Tailshaft might cause shudder/vibrations at those speeds. But could also be wheels.
