don't get me wrong, they don't look old, but they have been used..

they are around $500-$600 new..
I guess you got to weigh up wether of not paying an extra $200 on top of your current bid justifies a set of new ones with larger primary pipes..

( I don't know much about exhaust, obviously :( )

Only reason I'm upgrading from the standard header is cause I'm getting a J3 chip of one of the boys from the forum and was hopping to get the most from it. As I'm taking my cam out.

Will I still get much of a improvement with smaller primary's compared to standard header? I'm running a 2 1/2" cat back with open cat.

Maybe going dyno tune with a 977b again in future if I I'm still interested & have the funds.

You will get an improvement over the standard that's for sure. How much of an improvement is a different story, you won't know definitively until you throw it on the dyno. Regardless, if you plan on putting a cam in, I'd say get any extractor over the stock manifold any day.
