OKidokey yesterday had a problem, pretty sure its the gear box, the car just stays in one single gear and doesnt want to change.....Today on the other hand it did start to change....Before you guys start goin on, the car is an auto which i found quite odd it didnt change... Any help would be good..

Firstly check the fluid level.

If it has never been changed, do it.

Failing a fluid and filter change, put a 5 speed in it.

sounds like it went into limp home mode. did the engine fans turn on also?? could be the neutral safty switch. or even the speedo transducer causing this problem. get it checked and fixed NOW or you will be up for a new auto. a lot of autos we sell fail because people drive them in limp mode and it cooks them.

Check ur dash board is working properly. I found after pulling mine out one day that when i tried to drive away in my car (EL) that it stayed in 1st gear while the cluster wasnt pluged in. Look into that if its been touched l8ly.
