Alternater light has just started flicking on so put the voltage tester on it and reads 15.1 - 15.2 volts at idle. Is it Kaput?
Thanx Dave

Your alt output should be around 13.8volts

Sound like you need a new alternator.Mine read the same 15.8 volts at idle.My alternator light would comes on when i drove my car a little harder some times. If you leave that alternator in for to long you will end up blow lights, fuses.I replaced mine 2 months ago costed me $330 brand new bosch one higher output too.If you get a new one i suggest to go for a bosch one they a easier to be rebuilt than a mitsubushi.Hope that helps.
