K&N or Redline Air Filter $75-95
Queensland Spiral Core Ignition Leads $85-$100
Exhaust + Extractors (anything from $600-1200 fitted)
Stage 2 CMS Cam (145rwkw+ with venier gear at $500-600 fitted, $400-450 unfitted i think?

Im presuming with decent mods listed you'd hit the 135->150rwkw if your lucky and its all done well enough.

Stage2 Wade Cam can be another option which is about 130-136rwkw for approx $200 odd or so.

Call Joe @ Crescent Motorsports in Syd (02) 9600-6229 if you want things sent. Otherwise source it down in VIC. Im sure most vic members can recommend u places

You wont get flogged, it'll probably be fairly even. However a few small mods should make sure you win.

About the same as an EL, around 1500-1550kg depending on Series.

I have already done what you are asking. My sister has got a VT commodore sedan and i gave her a bit of a race from the lights.

She kept with me to about 40 then i pulled away from the crappydore. It would have been alot closer if the my car was stock. I have an exhaust system that rocks and all under 6months old.............And i will tell you one thing expensive high flow 2.5in cats do make a big improvement.........

For some reason the VT they have got with under 100000km just isn't as quick as there previous car which was a VS executive(written off about 2-3 years ago, only had 64000km on the clock) Now that car could move to 100km/hr. A good VS auto is alot quicker than a VT auto.

Probably be close since none of your cars are modded, just make sure you stall up the auto but if you got skinny tires you might sit there with them spinning.

Cheers........Luke...............

Thats all well and good but tell us what you did differently in the 2nd go..?

My old '96 I6 fairlane was about one car length faster to 80kmhr than a VX exec and that was consistant average.

If you stall it up a bit they launch much more willingly and after i had zorst done it revved a bit easier; was easy to take my mate at that stage.

Id guess youd be the same in stock form mate; just stall it up a little, dont over rev something stupid and if all else fails a few mods will clutter your rear view mirrors.

The most common issue with stock auto falcons and commos, is the commos have a much better 1st gear, so they'll launch harder, but only get to 50 in 1st, then they die, while the falcons just entering the power band still in 1st. So make sure it's not a race to a 60 limit, make sure it's an 80 zone and you'll win.

3.45 LSD Diff!
Goes a long way to curing the 'forever first gear' of the Ford auto box.
I'm assuming you have an auto of course...

Edit: tag team post data_mine! You said the problem, I said the solution :D
