Am thinking bout getting an el for my next car, what are they like on petrol? they wuld have to be better than my CFI 3spd EA!

Well f**k yeah. my EL even gets about the same fuel economy as wife's Carburetted 1.6 litre Suzuki Vitara 4wd :!:

expect average mix of driving city and long distance to get anywhere between 10-12.5ish L/100 depending on the condition of the engin and the quality of petrol you are getting (too many variables to pin point it). On the freeway i get about 850-900kms out of a tank. Around town 550-600. Costs about $70 to fill it.

Yeah my el is similar, in city areas doing about 12-13L p/100km

My EL XR gets about 500kms around town (i run only optimax) and around 800-900kms on the highway

I would like to know what you guys do to get 800+ k's to a tank, mine gets 620 to a tank freeway and around town gets about 400 at the most.
The reviews all came in at around 11l/100k which would equate to around 600k's to a tank....
Please explain...
