Just finished repacing the head gasket on my EL mont ghia. Number 3 cylinder water jacket on the exaust side was leaking but the actual ring around the cylinders were fine (no sign of leaks from cylinders) Anyways the head and block were ok but i was told about this VHT Copper Gasket Cement. Its basically a copper spray thats applied to the block, gasket and head. Its used in race cars and so on and is meant to give a better seal with extreme heat fluctuations. Its all done after about 9 hrs and $130 and all works fine and no leaks yet! will let you all know how this stuff goes after 100,000 k's!

its good stuff mostly used on Fel-Pro gaskets, i have used it many times never had a problem, its used on race cars because when the scrutinizer's check the motor specs thay tag the engine so it cant be tampered with so after a few pull downs its cheaper and easier to use the same metal gasket and the spray, seals better to i recon
