When I was inspecting the El wagon's fuel pump I noticed there is a hose from the passenger side of the diff that goes up into the car somewhere through the floor pan, and its broken. Whats it for and what kind of hose do I need to replace it?

It will be fine, it just vents to the atmosphere, leave it broken, wont cause issues.

its probably best if it was connected, it just goes into the boxed section above the diff and sits there, its up high to stop any water, mud ect from getting into the diff..

That makes sense Troyman, might even see if I can drop a hose adapter on it if I cant find some spare hose.
