Hi everyone, mum has just bought an EL GLi as a daily, and it has some sort of misfire that happens occasionally on idle but badly under load.

Ive just replaced the spark plugs, leads, dist cap, rotor button and cap spacer. I have a new coil but its in a c**t of a spot and I have big hands :lol: so I dont want to have to change it unless its absolutely necessary.

Could anything else be causing it?

Lack of fuel. I had a blocked fuel filter causing intermittent hesitation and got worse under throttle.

I shouldve mentioned that if I put my foot down it goes away after a couple seconds and it takes off. But still has an ever so slight hint of rough running.
