hey guys my brothers el has stopped twice.. once driving down the highway it just stopped the revs dropped engine lights came on. car fired straight back up and went for another two months without an issue.. today after driving for about 2 mins the same thing it just stopped going it fired back up after a couple of attemps. has this happened to anyone thought it may have been the coil any ideas would be appreciated..

LOL the hall sensor in the dizzy man did that drive us up the wall to find. at first it would just die and you start back up and drive away then after few months it die and take up to 30mins and it would start again.(to find this check if you got spark when it dies and it refuses to start again)

if not that check all your earths there some on both sides of engine bay.

i should also mesnsion if there no spark like you said just buy a whole new dizzy off ebay they seem to work a treat and make sure you set the engine to TDC before removing the dizzy or you will be in a world of pain trying to get the oil pump to slot into the bottem of the dizzy.

either coil or dizzy. if when it stops you can jack up the left hand side of the car, pull the 2 pin plug off the dizzy and put a noid light or LED test light in there and crank it. if you get a pulse and still no start and no spark then its coil, if you get a pulse and no spark its dizzy... also make sure that it has injector pulse tho with a noid light of led test light
