Hi all,

I'm thinking about putting together some drive in drive out packages for all those out there who want the extra benifit of the bbm and eecv.

This is a expression of interest at the moment if enough people show an interest I'll finalize prices.

My plan for the kits they will have reco'd injectors and new EL fans,
for those of you with fairmonts when converting to eecv your trip computer will not work there is no way around this (I've try'd) unless you convert to a EL dash aswell.

I have done this conversion myself it should not take more than a day only able to do it for EB2 upwards (smartlock equiped cars) polished manifolds will be an option too.

So show me interest and I'll finialize the end price.

Any movement with this? I missed the post originally, but I am keen. Maybe to buy all the parts or something and fit it myself (I enjoy that part of it).

Will finalize prices by the end of the week for all parts needed. For mail order kits I still have to make up the extra loom required for the conversion.

The polished manifold I have started my own but is far from finished, I will probably be sorucing the polished manifolds through spider (as he has more paticiance than me to do it) so might be an idea to contact him and see how much he can do one for.

So far the kit will include:

Manifold
all extra sensors needed
fans+relays
ecu (need to specify auto/manual)
accelerator cable and pedal
wiring loom
instructions

Cheers Neil

and a dipstick? I heard they need to be replaced, too? What about airboxes and stuff (easily sourced by ourselves, just wondering if you are intending on including it)?

Okay update this has worked out a little more expenxive than I'd hoped (due to wrecking yards being greeder than i expected) at the moment it looks like the complete package will cost around the $1050 mark + freight there is a lot of new parts in that cost if I used more second hand parts the price would come down.

The second option would be I just make the wiring harness required to do this conversion (bbm and thermo fans) and you guys sourse your own parts.

I was hoping to make this as economical as possible so it would be an option for more people, but I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any thoughts on where I might be able to sourse the manifold and fans cheaper.

When I get home later I'll most the items in the kit to give people an idea of whats in it and whats involved.

Cheers neil

you're doing a good job, dude!

perhaps once you post a complete list of the parts with a price breakdown, and once we have exact numbers of those people interested in doing this mod, we can solicit various wreckers to see who can do the best deal?

Surely if there are say between 5 - 10 people wanting to do this then wreckers will see that as potentially $2,500 (5 ppl @ $500 each) turnover, which is a good thing? (I am just inventing figures!)

s**t, if you're looking at that much, then you're going to the wrong places. I paid under $100 at a wrecker in melb, and got the bbm, with EVERYTHING still attacherd, air box, intake pipes, hoses etc etc. Add around $80 (at the most) for the eco, and there you go for under $200!!

might be an idea for yout to supply a wiring loom and intructions with a parts list of what is needed that way there will be minimal frieght cost to all members, and they can source their own parts in their own time, and some members may allready have some of the parts needed if they have being thinkign about this conversion

Okay thanks for the input guys, will do a complete list of parts needed and post in the next few days.

Will get started on making looms and instructions too.

The best I found bbm for was 150 (manifold injectors and throttle body) air box and stuff was extra.

I was going to supply custom airboxs (pod filter addption in box) and modded air intake.

Cheers Neil
