hi , my el 4.0 was going then all a sudden it died. i just bought the car , and it has been sitting there about 2 months on a empty tank practically. fuel gauge was nearly on empty then i put 15 dollars of fuel to get it home. i made it 10 mins down the road doing about 80km then it just died.. it cranks over but wont start.. wondering if the problem could be dirty fuel or blocked fuel filter.. PLEASE HELP..

filthy fuel filter stale fuel, what was sitting in the tank, possibly a dead pump. Start with your filter though mate. It sounds like you are answering your own questions though.

fuel pump, tfi or coil,check for spark? or the sound of a fuel pump priming at the back of the car when the idiot lights are on (full ignition) if you have spark it could be the fuel pump,fuel pump relay(uner the header tank) or possibly ecu relay, unless that stopped the motor turning over all togethe but im not too sure

that plastic thing with a plug going into it hanging off the side of the distributor, held on with 2 screws
