Just wanted to know how much work is involved with changing my el xr6 motor to a au xr6 motor and if they are fully compatable >?<

You would have to convert ur el to coil pack, as thats what the au runs

Now u mentioned au xr6 motor, are we talking about the HP engine or the VCT engine

Whats the diffrence between the 2 atm i have a el xr6 tickford motor witch i need 2 change due 2 damage.

The AU motor is a much better and stronger motor in my opinion with a better head on it and its easy to put the AU motor into your EL just need to modify either your sump or cut a little bit out of the K Frame to fit it the latter is easier and cheaper to do if you have a welder and swap a few of the motor parts around.

I did it to my EF now has a AU motor in it and i think its been for the better.

OK so im looking for a au xr6 motor atm so the only thing i have to do is mod the sump and it should fit right in and as for the other motor parts what do i have 2 do there what needs to be change >?<

EL is dizzy, AU is coil pack. If you want to use the coil packs you are going to have to use a EF XR6 ECU or a stock EF ECU but with a Ti performance chip with the XR tune. Im sure you could put the dizzy on the AU engine so you wont have to do that mucking around.
