I have an auto 1997 el falcon gli wagon ex cab. The gas system has been removed and an el xr6 motor has been fitted. All was fine until the gearbox was replaced with another auto and a df fairlane cluster fitted.

Now I have refitted the original cluster, fitted another starter, fitted another ecu and fitted a new BCM and reprogrammed it following directions on this site and still nothing. The car does not click or turn over when the key is turned but all the electrics appear to be working the same as when the car was running. What else should I be checking to get the car running again?

Is the smartlock giving any errors?

The smart lock light appears to be doing exactly what it should once the key is turned

Have you checked the neutral /park switch?Start relay.Did you leave the ignition on for 1/2 an hour or what ever you do to reprogram the key to the smart lock?Did you put the start wire back on? :D Cheers Kevman.

I have not found any disconnected wires. Yes the bcm was left on for a period of time to program it until the locks cycled. All the relay were replace not long ago but I am personally thinking that that is the only thing left that could cause the problem and have ordered new ones. I am just try to rule out every possibility
