I’m helping a mate out with his EL but for some reason it will not fire. No I don’t know how or why it happened.

I will tell you what I have worked out.

It has spark and fuel and compression.
Although I have not done a compression test as yet.
Obviously it cranks, after holding the key on start for 30 seconds, the power cables get very hot.
Cranks fine without plugs.

Water is fine as is the oil.

I have tried ‘Start ya bastard’ but still nothing.

Idea's and suggestions.

so what happened to make it not work?
was it all of a sudden?
i had problems with my dizzy cog, the one that sits from the bottom of the dizzy into the motor. caused the timing to be out and the car wouldnt start

Have you got the fuel lines on the right way around?
