hi all

when i have my cars ignition on and the aircon is on it comes out of the demister but i have ity switched to come out at the vents so pointing at my face, then as soon as i start my car it goes to normal,

is this a problem or normal? its odd because my ef didnt do it, and when i turn my car off i can hear a hissing sound coming from the aircon box thing thats has the controls , dont know what its called lol

The switch that controls where the air flows operates on vacume , i dont know for sure but i would imagine that it will not work without the engine runing. and my ef hises as well

Yeah, if you have climate control, the vents are controlled by vacuum actuators.

If you hear hissing in the cabin whilst the car is running, you may have a vacuum leak. I had a cracked actuator which I had to unplug and plug up. Now no more hissing, but missing one working actuator.

mine only hises on start up, im asuming as the vacume builds up! my xr dosent have climate control, just the elpovo twisty nobs 8-) , but its still vacume control

mine doesnt hiss while running. when i turn my car off, and have been using aircon it hisses
