In that case he should have whooped your car!!!

Maybe his motor is flogged out and worn. But still even if he had less power than yours, his gearing in the box and diff should have still had him in front.

Dunno, whats yours run over the 1/4?

Or he wasn't racing, and you're an idiot.

depends on the style of race they had. off the mark, yeah the stocker XR would win no doubt, but if its a rolling race, then the auto is in with a chance, I know the old eb auto used to get plenty of kills against manual xr's and crumbledoor equivelants with a low speed rolling start. Pulling from 30ks to 100ks in first in a matter of moments is not something to be sneezed at.

manual is also quicker from 30-100 long as the guy can change fast.

think about it. the auto will have to change at 80ish and the manual at like 50-60 ish. t5 will beat the BTR time and time again.

We had a few goes at the lights and when hes doing 140ks plus i think he is trying to race. I backed off and he would fly past me.

I don't know...all cars seem to be different. Like mine for instance. I had an auto and ran a 16.4 down the quater...next mod was manual conversion and ran it down the quarter and once again 16.4. Either my car has hit the fan, or my shifting is poor. Though compared to mooseman's car. Our cars are the same yet he still bet me with both the auto and the manual...just that he had an improvement after his manual conversion.

So in conclusion...if the XR was shagged with something not working right, you may have a chance. I don't think a full exhaust system could really give you that much improvement...it surely didn't for me :S

phong =P~
