ok this is weird, but when i use the turn signals. the volt meter drops approx. 2v everytime the indicators flash BUT also the temp gauge shoots up and down every time the indicators flash. Has anybody had this or something similar happen to them and how do i fix this situation.

any help is much appreciated. cheers

check your earth straps.
if you have a multimeter, you'd also want to check the voltage at the alternator and at the battery.
