hay man, how did you cover the balck so well, did you use a primer or anything, how did you do it?

You can buy engine enamel so it'll come out a partly gloss but more flat look. Very thick too.. and i did about 6-8 coats of it ontop of it .. not sure if that'll do though lol

I basically removed most of the stuff and masked up the rest and tried not to get it onto other bits, but really i wanted it all black so couldnt care lol. I'll post up some more pix tonight

Sorry about the quality of pix guys, i shrink them down A LOT so dialup people wont have any issues! will post up clear ones in gallery later too .

Maybe even a small doco.

Whats left is to redo cabling a bit, polish lpg mixer / spray pipe and im thinking to keep to panel filter for now then later on change over as lpg having a bit of issue with pod filter for some reason again! argh! needs a tune!

The hoses to who asked are red yes, heater and vacuum. The only one left will be changed is the rad hose. Hose Pack kits for ea-au will be available soon for FM users too :P in Blue/Red/Black and maybe Yellow but unsure on that as its not a readily avail colour.

Phwoar, lucky! :P

Looks good mate, I'm guessing you had a quiet easter! Black engine bay, boot and door jams is another of my projects laying in wait when I get some spare time.

How did you go about cleanging everything before painting ? A blast with the hose and then prepsol where you could reach ?

And you did the whole lot in high temp engine enamel ??? That must have cost a few bucks!

Damn it Fuz, the car looks nice as always. :) I was considering doing the whole sequential scoop and pod filter thingy myself but ahhh i just dont like the idea of blowing my pod up if the LPG system backfires.

Would cost a fortune after a while :?

It wont blow your pod, ill be putting back on the pod as soon as it gets tuned with the pod on there.. Reason it backfires with the pod is as it has no restriction as when u get it tuned it only sucks air through the snorkel so if you remove that big restriction and put a pod and air is coming from both snorkel and intake ontop of the bonnet its then not restricted making to much air and not enuff fuel (Leaning out) causing it to backfire

But otherwise then that im not finished with the engine bay yet, few more things.. piping and intake manifold to be sprayed up as well and other things .. but thanks guys

Okay i sort of understand that :? So what your saying is once the LPG system is tuned to have a pod setup then it shouldnt backfire :)

I like the idea of this sequential scoop and the pod showing thru the filter box mod i have only seen it once b4 at the AFD down here looks cool.

Hey Fuzion,
what about rain in the airbox? I know that its a noob question (and I have asked my share of those) but never got a concise answer.
A little moisture would get in the scoups, into the box. Does the filter stop the moisture? Is the minimal ammount of moisture bad?
Besides You can always put the mesh back under the scoup (in winter) right ?

Water in the engine aint all that bad anyway.
I mean, people buy water injection kits to help combat pinging under boost.
So a bit of rain isn't the end of the world.

Basically i will be making a cover around the upper of the pod filter so it'll drain around and drop below it as it still will suck enough air that way as well..

and remember, your car runs very smooth and better at night becaues of the moisture in the air..
