I got sick of the red in my engine bay so i got everything resprayed up again and changed a lot around.

Saffron is the colour and red otherwise for the hosing with black resprayed (myself) instead of the white engine bay which i thought was useless/ugly ..

So half way there now, few more bits and bobs to get through but its cleaning up not to bad!

Also my front is now sprayed as of last week and sequential scoop fitted etc...

Will keep you guys posted on progress...

Some pix..

Awesome stuff man; love the air box design.

10/10 - inspiring at the least.

Nice!

Does the scoop seal against the airbox? Got any pics of that?

Doesnt seal 100% as of yet, i only finished putting it all back together cuz the spray painter took a while to do the pipe.. (was late)

But will get around to it soon as im free again next couple days, although im considering going back to panel again as the pods too annoying through my exhaust as its loud enough already!

I was getting about 6-9l/p100 on the freeway on 110-120 (LPG).. so the same really, ill throw it on the dyno and see what diff it makes otherwise it might end up being a cosmetic thing or go back to el scoop .. see how goes!

I reckon leave it as is, something unique. I've been thinking for a while now of taking out the 'cover' that seals the bonnet scoops shut and running something to the airbox to get that bit more air. But I think it's just as good and easier to run something from the front of the box to somewhere in the front bumper.

Do you have the other side scoop open or not? What did you use to spray the BBM? What sort of paint did they put on the Saffron parts? 2-pack?

That looks awsome! I think I might do something similar to my car.

As for the air scoop, leave it as it is. A dyno won't show up any difference with or without airscoop because you can't generate a 100-110km/h airstream over the car.

Only thing that will show up any difference is 1/4 mile times.

With a k&n or redline pod filter i presume you will notice a difference but maybe only slight as it will pick up air from outside instantly instead of limited air through the snorkel.

Scoop underneath is as you see it ontop, just goes with the cover underneath and thats basically it.

Some closer up pix

hey fuzion.... i sprayed the bay a while ago now also as i have a GLi it was all white and looked horrible after almost 10years of grime and dirt..... a nice gloss black did the trick......

I Love the car hey always will.... have u noticed any difference usuing the T5 box oppose to ur auto.... those autos are ment to drain a fair bit of power before hittin the wheels
