Haven't been on for a while as I have been "Busy"....anyway did a quick search and can't find what I am looking for.....
I have done the broadband conversion on my XH but have been unable (at this stage) to source an ecu to suit. Anyway, I am under the impression that everything will still work fine but the broadband butterflys won't open (which is fine at the moment), but when I rev the thing it holds revs at anywhere from 1500 to 3500 for between 5 to 30 seconds. I have changed the Idle speed control valve for three second hand ones, including the original off the log manifold (which ran fine) and has made no difference. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on this? I beleive all the ICS modules I have are faulty but don't want to lash out until I am sure...
Also, while asking dumb questions, what is the process for setting the timing? The manual I have says bridge the top left connector in the diagnostics port to earth and set the timing at 10 degrees but there are no marks on the timing cover...do I just guess at 10 degrees or what?

Thanks for the help guys...I know someone here will be able to give me some answers 8-)

Short top left to bottom left, start engine. Wait approx 2 mins, engine will falter to point of nearly stalling. With light already connected, line mark on balancer with pointer on timing cover. Done. Maybe idle will settle after

Still having trouble with rev hang and a low down miss. This is despite using a J3 chip to change from auto to manual (solved the fan issue  ). It just seems to hold revs after being giving a rev. The only solution I have come up with is to disconnect the iscv but the idle then drops to nearly nothing (and is obviously a quick fix). Had the whole manifold to pieces today looking for a vaccuum leak which I thought I had located between the two halves of the broadband manifold but that was a waste of my time and a day off.
Starting to run out of ideas here.

Hey Scotty, I just went out to the shed and had a look. Guess what? After calming down, growing another wrist and another elbow, I found the leak; in exactly that spot. It's right up underneath right up towards the back of the head which was why it was so damn hard to find. I could hear it, I just couldn't find it...... Now to go and get some more beer  and pull the thing off like I should've in the first bloody place  .
