Ok so just installed my new AU engine, EL dash etc, and since then its been driving like crap! Engine is missing and is sounding like its choking! Its got a brand new coil, brand new dizzy cap one of the leads was stuffed so I replaced that and its still running terrible!

Car used to be on gas was hardly ever driven on petrol but is now petrol only with the gas system removed.

The timing has been slightly advanced, could it be the timing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

if it hasnt been driven on petrol much over the years, your injectors will most likely be clogged up.

adding to that, injector cleaner might not work if the injectors are really buggered. its not that expensive for a new set anyway.

well I wouldnt think its the injectors as I got new injectors with my new motor, but could it possibly be the fuel filter a all?

yeah i'd be changing the fuel filter and maybe the coil at least you know that if that doesn't fix it their new units try changing all of the leads they might look healthy but they could be buggered, plugs too their cheap enough. could be the timing might be very worth while looking into you dont want to shag a motor because the timing is rooted. yeah check out the timing first then do the rest if its not the timing
