hey guys i wana do sum engine mods but dont really know where to start ive already got 2.5 inch exhaust with hi flow cats and extractors. i was wondering if someone can give me some idea where to start and wat to start with? also my car is 6 cyl el fairmont and also i wana do as much as i can without turboing it

Firstly how's the engine itself, still strong?
Personally I'd go get a 1673 wade cam(or regrind cam for cheaper) and a j3 chip from T.I performance. I think regrind cam and chip comes in under $400. |

Yeh i think its pretty strong its done 400,000km but never had any engine issues or troubles. And always been serviced and has never really been flogged. Well until i bought it lol. Yeh thats wat i was thinking and maybe sum valve spring and biger injectors. Would a high torquqe cam from crow cams be good?

With 400.000kms id be checking compression and a few other things before dropping a cam in it.

any engine mod in anyway shape or form is usless with out a custom tune so what ever you do finish it of with a tune. take your bigger injectors idear your computer will only let a set amunt of fuel go through the system and bigger cams just confuse the ecu and end up dumping fuel. hope it helps and u get a tune

Cheers guys wat kind o cam should i get? Crow cams sell so many. And yeh ill get the chip an dbigger injectors and then get a tune hopefully thatl fix my idle issue aswell so that could be goood. How big of injectors should i go?

How big of injectors should i go? bigger injectors are useless with almost any mod on an e series unless your boosting it, i doubt your going to have 180 kw or more at the rears with your car so you wont need larger injectors.

As your car is an Auto, the Wade 1673 will be too big, and will be a pig to drive below 2600rpm with no pull at all. The tall 1st gear in the auto makes this much worse than it could be.
A Wade 1636 is designed to work with an Auto as it comes on earlier in the rev range. I have the 1673 with a T5, which works great as a combo. Cheers BenJ

What so u rekon dont worry about putting bigger injectors in? Amd yeh benj ill source one of them cams and see how much itll cost to get it put in
