Funnily enuf my XH is the same. You can see the thermostat open on the gauge. My EBII never used to but then we rebuilt the motor and took the clutch fan off. Now it does :?
But yeah unless it's overheating don't touch it. I was also informed that as long as that gauge was in the NORMAL range it wasn't a problem. If it ran below than the choke mode in the ecu would stay on
