I never believe anything till i see proof with my own eyes... met too many s**t artists in my time.
Young guys will believe anything you tell them... bet you didn't know i gained 50 rwkw from fitting a Wade cam to a stock 4.0, no s**t.

where are the dyno proven results?

i think that is what he meant by won't believe it till he see's it....

a pic of the setup does not prove it works..
i could go strap a cow to my intake and say the extra methane helps create more power and take a photo.. doesn't mean it actually works...

put your money where your mouth is and "Dyno prove" the results. Simota have any figures for us, no!

besides the fact your still running the factory pipe past the throttle body and throught the most restrictive and turbulance causing pipe work in the factory system, you won't gain anything, actually you'll probably lose bottom end torque.

so put up or shut up.

same as wlker says, fit a Cam and get real power increases, you want power modify the internals, the external gear will only go so far, then it becomes rice.. for the cost of that filter. what about $100, if you gained 5RWKW's thats $20 a Kw, expensive, cams round $250 and a gain usually of anywhere between 25-60kw depending where you go and who you listen to equates to $10 a Kw based on a 25kw gain and as little as about $4 based on a 60 kw gain, the reality is thoughyou would be looking at about $7-$8 a kw gain for a cam install.

If you want more air in then port and polish the head to handle the extra air flow, not much point trying to pump more air in if it hits the restriction of TB's, BBM's and Heads. just a thought

firstly, the overall flow capacity of a section of pipe is equal to the worst flowing part (a chain is only as strong as the weakest link type theory). So if you have 3" pipe in there, then the overall flow, regardless of if you have 3.5" at the begining, is only going to be as good as the 3" pipe.
Secondly, judging from your picture I'd say previously you were using the stock black plastic peice initially. That isn't 3", if you look at it it's tapered might be near 3" at the back, but at the front it's much smaller. And the rest of the factory piping often seems to change size a fair bit.
What was the point in this thread? you already know that most of us don't believe you and you've yet to give us any proof beyond your word for telling us that it's better...

acts like how unifilter pod setups work....... A very large diameter at the filter base which cones down to the factory intake diameter.


Funny that a huge motorcar company, such as Ford (who may I remind you produced your EL, aswell as many other cars, and some supercars - GT40), find your theory in reverse!
To get better power they don't go from larger to smaller, they actually taper the intake the other way - just look at the funny in the top of an EF airbox lid, or the first peice of pipe after the air box lid in an EL... There tapered/funneled, from smaller to larger diameter to inscrease the air going in.
