I realise everyone bags out 3in neck pods but i think it's about time people started thinker bigger!!!!!!!!!!!

3.5-4in pod setup with induction pipe to suit, dyno proven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

everyone already knows that 3in pods only give minimal gain if anything. Go with R&D and pay a bit of money and you will see the results!!!!!!!!!

Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

because your not proving anything in this thread.

i only recall people trialling 3" intake pipes and giving proven dyno figures, nothing for 3.5-4" pod filters.

whats the point in making the induction pipe bigger than the TB?

My El goes heaps better with this setup compared to every other air intake setup i have tried.

basic flow dynamics, increase in air velocity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A 3.5in pipe at wide open throttle ( 45cm long) going into a factory 3in pipe too throttle body will increase air velocity in the 3in section. This will generate more power.....

acts like how unifilter pod setups work....... A very large diameter at the filter base which cones down to the factory intake diameter.

cheers.........

Ah wank wank wank, dyno proven s**t!
Over the years on here i've heard it all, a decent filter and snorkel is good enough, why waste hundreds of dollars for 2 kw if that.
You want power then work your engine!!!

I paid $100 including postage and i would have too say it is the biggest performace gain for that money i have spent.

Kit included::

95mm Neck, Oiled Cotton Pod Filter(same as K&N)
95mm Alloy intake tube

Hose clamps and bracket.........

cheers..........

would this not create a restriction when the air gets to the 3" section possibly creating a rough air patch?

thats the design different between the ef and el. the ef has 2 smaller intake tubes, increasing air speed.

reseach buddy. Why would simota australia waste there time releasing a 3in intake system with a pod when through (R&D) they developed 10RWHP gain with a 3.5in intermediate pipe with a 3.5in pod.

Performance buddy<<<R&D>>>

i talked too the bloke that does the intakes on honda's, mazda's and toyota's etc.........He dynoed these pipes on ford 4l motors. deal with the facts buddy......................

cheers,,,,,,,,

basically 3in pods do not provide any performance over da good panel filter. A 3.5-4in oiled cotton pod with an intermediate pipe will see a noticeable increase. exacts words from simota australia sales rep; john.......

cheers...........
