This really needs to be done on a standard car, or at least 2 or 3 cars to get an average, some cars are freaks and some cams do better in those cars then it will in others.

You are testing manual only, so who cares, i am keeping the auto, good luck with it.

The aim is to run this in my car or to find someone that is willing to donate there car and 4-5 fridays in a row that they are free.

I know it ain't the best way to get resutls and should be more testing but money is the problem and i will be on a budget. Also i am not some company or nothing a single bloke trying to do something that no one (to my awareness) has done.

If we could do it with BOTH, back to back would be good, and at least you can see gains at stock, and if the XR would give that bit more.

Would love an auto comparison, but hey yuo cant have everything.

i think you should settle down and be appreciative of just a cam to cam comparison let alone Ecu Vs. XR Ecu or Autospastic Vs. Manual. Whats next try each cam with different air filters? Just appreciate that someone is sick of arguing about and is going to do some research and investigating.

Cheers

Hey in my last post I did not say its a waste of time did I.

I was merely saying that it is also a good oportunity to see if any cam gains anything over standard with an XR ecu vs standard, I think thats extremely relevant to this once in a blue oportunity testing you plan to carry out.

I am just saying that most cams are suited to either auto or manual, so the outcome of the testing will only really be relevant to the manaul drivers is all.

I understand that im jsut saying you also have to look at it from a realistic view.

But thanks for mention it as i have formed an idea. Jarrod (EDMONTY) you still offering your car as a donor. My idea is i throw one cam in his car and a cam in mine then we both dyno cams go bakc to mine and change cams run them for another week then dyno again till we go throw all the different cams. Giving us a reading for a Manual car and Auto Car.

Cheers

Well I am trying to be realistic, I never said that we should test every air filter out there, and in actual fact a clean standard air filter would flow good enough, or leave them off all together for ease of testing.

Just be nice to see stnd Ecu vs XR ecu and vs Cam as I dont belive this has ever been done in actual fact.

When you say you already have a crow cam stage 4, do you mean the 4th one on the list? cause thats the stage 2 cam...

The stage 4 cam requires a custom ECU so I doubt you'll be trialling that.
I run the stage 3...part number 2222543

What I forgot to mention was that my cam ran (not well) without a chip. With a chip it works much better.

Doing it on 4 or 5 diffrent days really negates the purpose of this testing. The entire test would have to be conducted in one day to have any real relavence.
