A mate had a ED GLi factory 5spd, and he tells me it was speed limited.
Used to hold it on the speed limiter all the time. He's crazy enough to do it too.

Then there's ones that are modified for highway patrol.

I seriously dought that the police force would mod up a 4L EB for highway patrol

Why not?!!! There are plenty of 4L BA highway patrol cars around these days. The EB was the 'BA' of the early 90s.

Maybe so but thse are the turbo versions?
I mean never have i seen a 6 cylinder (non-turbo) high way patrol car.
My definition of high way patrol is, the cars which target speeders hence they have mobile speed cameras.

Hate to burst your bubble mate, but I'm pretty sure I read in the paper a couple of months ago that virtually all police cars in NSW have radars these days, the revenue raising pricks....

Virtually no cop cars, patrol or not are V8's down here in Tas, they're all just 6's with a few suspension and ecu mods I believe.

There isnt enough highway in Tassie to warrant a V8!

afaik speed limiters didnt arrive until EF's...

Are you sure? I though EB/ED's were also limited. Maybe I'll test it out sometime... not realyl comfortable doing 180 though...

ED's have limiters.. my EBII goes really fast.. or it did until I put in the EL Ghia ECU.
