check the rubber exhaust support that goes from the cat exit flange hanger to the rear gearbox hanger.

the ba did this once, turned out the rear hanger had broken off and was vibrating against the pipe.

Yeah falcon exhaust rubbers have been crap since day one. I've changed hundreds of falcon mufflers and you always change the rear 3 rubbers because they will be well and truely stuffed before it needs the next exhaust, yet most jap cars, you never have to change rubbers cos their much better quslity design. Poor design Ford.

Have you lowered it recently? Mine does this since putting Lovell Ultra-lows in it.

Could be the cat screwed? Is it a stock exhaust? I know the stock exhaust has a heat sheild around them on some, And ford put metal ties around them and they get loose after a while. Check if you have anything like that.... I did. Also do you get it when you turn left or right? I had the same problem. It was just one of the rubber hangers fully stretched out. I have to replace it once every year or 2 now. Is it a stock exhaust tho?

A stuffed baffle in your muffler or resi can do this.

Mine was doing at 1,400rpm, got it changed for an epa and it still does it. I'm getting extractors fitting today and changing the cat so if it stops for mine i'd be certain it's the cat for you to.

Make sure the heat-shielding on the cat is still clamped tight, they come loose and rattle. While you are under there, check the hangers as stated.

Falcon exhausts are s**t, I have changed the exhaust on all 4 Falcons I have had. :(
