Gday guys.

With my new xflow its time to bump up the size of my exhaust. I want to upgrade to a 2.5" and change the note a little. At the moment i have a set of lukey extractors with a 2 1/4 cat followed by a straight throught resonator and then straight through muffler.

The extractors on this car are amazing and without the pipes on it is actually the closest to an 8 that i have ever heard a 6 sound like. The current exhaust is a bit quiet down low and dosnt really sound good until the higher RPMs.

What i am after is to keep the extractor sound and just silence it. I would like that low RPM meaty sound and a bit of a roar up high.

So i was interested in peoples thoughts on combinations ie. no resonator? just a hot dog etc?

Cheers

loose the smaller of the two mufflers, shouldmek a rather large change, if need be raise your idle to ~750>800rpm thattdd change the "sitting at the lights note"

What helps to have a "meaty" sound is the largest volume muffler that will fit in the usual mounting space. A straight through, offset, design, no forward resonator, and with the cat, have 6" long cones in & out of the cat.
A single 2 1/2" system all the way. Get a quality muffler, if budget allows.
