now i have the cash for an exhaust i just wanted to know if i should just scrap the resinator and have it straight through with the main muffler. All mandrel bends, i will eventually get extractors and hi flow cat but not till end of the year or so.Should the muffler be offset or straight through because its 50 50 with what people are saying in other forums.

could yas post some under car pics of what they have or just rough noise levels. do you think it will be too loud with no res and rear muffler?also does anyone have pics of some decent twin tips on the cars.

Cheers

Hey mate I got no reso or rear muffler, just centre muffler. Its a redback system and sounds great, not too loud I guess.

Cant stand having no res on the open road. I have a 2.5 custom with a super cat S/S. 1 day I will get around to putting some headers on. Till then it is 2.5 from the manifold with 1 muffler and res. it is loud enough and has a good note to it. If you want to chop and change then get flanges on both ends of the res and a straight pipe with flanges. Then you can run either anytime you feel the need.

Done a quick clip for you.

6 cyl Fairmont, cam, motivator Extractors, single offset Lukey muffler & 2 1/2" Zorst. Yes it is droney and a bit loud when accelerating, but at cruising speed.. 60 or 100 its fine and can hardly be heard.

f**k the resonator :P From my experience a resonator on my cars made the sound very high pitch and 'tinny' like the 4 banger ricers.

I got it done in two stages, $280 for catback, then i got the extractors & high flow cat fitted for another $700 ($200 labour included).

Then the stainless steel tips were $50 each. Im sure if you bought everything in one lot you could work a much better deal than what i paid.

After numerous quotes, Carline gave me the best price.

hehe when i upgraded from an old car to this i just had to do it. I cant stand driving a car that sounds like a spaceship. Before i put the new zorst on, i was always crunchin the starter motor cause i wasnt sure if its was even running, it was that quite.

Pity the missus doesnt like it......
