Hey
I wanna get a new exhaust system on my EF Falcon but I don't know what I am looking for? Can anyone help? I want it to sound sweet, if i can. And how much would I be looking at. By the way, at the moment it is a stock standard EF Falcon. Thanks

I have a standard 3.9 cpi EB falcon GLI, and I have pacemaker 4499s, to a hi-flow 2.5 ceramic cat, to a 2.5 redback straight through muffler, and it makes a sweet sound. Purchase cost, I would think in the $1000-1200 range, with fitting cost max $300. I had mine done a while ago, and it goes hard.

hey buddy.
if cash is an issue do it in this order: 1) 2.5" mandrel bent catback (redback is a good brand) 1 muffler 1 resonator = ~$300 2) Pacemaker (or genie if cash is tight) extractors, 4490's = ~$450 3) hi flow cat (if you can be bothered) = ~$200 That'll have a nice power increase and really nice sound. Also wack a K&N panel filter in to replace your stock one

I had the above system in the EA - very nice. Though, because my car usually ran pretty cold, the exhaust was only as loud as i would've liked in hot weather, or climbing big hills. If i could've done it again, i would've opted for the no-resonator, but then it wouldn't be legal volume, so you'd need to keep the old one for when rego inspection time comes around.

Hey mate, on my EF i got Pacemaker 4490 (tuned length extractors) a 2 1/2 redback mandrel bent exhaust and a metalic hi-flo cat. The extractors were $450, the cat was $200 ish, and the cat back was $250. All up it cost $1120 with a chrome tip. I think i would have to rate mine as the best sounding i6 ive herd. Thats not biased either.
