hey guys, my 96 ef has had the rear muffler taken off and a straight pipe put on due to a massive hole when i was on a trip, also just last week the tip and about 60cm from the tip rusted and fell off.
the rest of the piping is fine, its just when i pull up or leave my house ppl think batherst is on and im doing a pit stop, my main concern is i need to get a roadwothy so what should i do?

ive seen new cannons for 89$, will i be able to weld a cannon on where the tip fell off, i no theres not much room in there but i dont mind modding the rear bar a bit to make it fit, also would this pass roady?

or do i just buy the rear half of the exhaust {i mean from just after the first small muffler where theres a flange bout half way up the car} ??

i dont have much cash as i gotta pay for tyres, roady ,reg ect so cheapest way out really

replace it, with the exhaust being rusty it will not be able to be welded. it will blow through.
if u cant afford new, have a look for good used from classifieds here or papers, wreckers etc
even go to your local exhaust place and have them make a taipipe without resonator, would be around the same price as the cannon. but the cannon u still need to get it welded on, so more $$

any self serve wreckers near u?
i got a good, full cat back 2.5" system for $20 at our local one

I agree with XRfairmont67. Hunt around for a second hand std exhaust. New 2.5" sports systems can be had for under $300 so don't spend too much oh used stuff.

Oh, if you put a canon on your falcon, several of us will drive up from Sydney and and paint 'Ricer' all over your car.

Have some taste please, and don't even talk about putting a canon on a Falcon.

Cheers
BenJ

yes i would say throw a resonator on it that will get rid of the loud drone ! even throw a small 3 inch cannon or something of that nature on the tail
