driving the MRS car 2day & the next door neighbour wanted to give me a go well gave him his go & after I pulled up at the lights, green I accelerate & I hear a noise comin from the back when I accelerate like I blew the cat or exhuast.
Checked to see if the noise was comin from the engine ( pulled throttle cables) & the noise is still comin from the back ?? anyone know WTF is going on?? The car EF2 FAIRMONT

The car EF2 FAIRMONT Have you got a welded tip on your exhaust? If it's a f@rt sort of sound, it could be that one of the welds on your exhaust system has blown.

yeah one of the bolts from my cat to the rear exhaust pipe came off and it had a simalair sound...could be something cracked or loose maybe.If it still drives resonable it cant be too serious.

Still irritating though!
Just make sure you're not leaking any exhaust fumes into the drivers cabin!

well the tip is rusted out & the cat gets it when going in2 driveways so I think she may need a new exhuast & it burbles when ya take the foot off the accelerater. Arhh the V8 never FAILS or breaks when drivin IT HARD
