does a 21/2 inch pipe fitted to the bottom of the intake box make any difference

cheers dude, I just knocked it up from crap I had in the garage one afternoon

... doing the turbo setup now so I'll have to make a coldair box to go into the other corner, but it will be the same sort of thing only fully sealed and maybe from perspex or something
