hmmm this is begining to sound so repetative, whats that? you got a 2 1/2" exhaust? THERES THE PROBLEM, youre getting more upper end torque when ur car would probably never hit 6000rpm, whats the point of that? More bottom end = good back pressure = 2 1/4" INNER diameter system. THEN youll notice a difference.

mylo, do you have headers and zorst on your BA and if so, did it make a difference at low end for you as my Ba is too slow off the line

Anyway, i know a guy that has 2 1/4 exhaust, it made a difference in his falcon

Mine's got a set of pacies and a 2.5" zorst, helps mostly with the top end, it's still a slug off the line. Can't help but think a diff swap to a 3.7 or something would liven it up a lot.

Yeh, well im with just cars and have unlimited mods. I was thinking of getting the 3.45 dif to see if it makes a difference but would rather get the exhaust system if it were better than the dif. With low end power, i would be loving it as I have no complaints at all with the top end power as it canes at 4500+.

Nobody makes off the shelf MANDREL BENT 2.25" exhausts for EA-EL!
And 2.25" press bent is stock

i noticed a huge difference when i put my extractors on.
they are x-force stainless steel with a very long primary and cone over pipe like pacemakers.
i noticed alot more torque from 2500rpm onwards.

I'm running the 'X-Force' stainless as well.
Definately more top end in them, complements my cam but sucks out my bottom end

4499s are designed to give you better bottom end, not top end.

Not true. I dunno who, but someone does. I know this, because when i went to the exhaust shop the guy showed me a catalogue and in it it had a picture and written underneath was "available in 2,1/4 and 2,1/2"

My bad!
Still think 2.25" is too small for a 4l.
Plus most extractors have 2.5" flanges on them...
