might be a crack in the extractors. are they new or 2nd hand?

or one bolt could be tight but a tad too long, leaving a slight gap.

I thought that was a normal sound. It's sort of a wooshing/whistling sound? I think that's just exhaust gases going through the pipe

phong =P~

I'd say its normal - hot gases, cold metal can make funny noises.

That's nothing, when i had my old extractors one of the welds on the collector (where two pipes go into one) the weld had cracked right around and i could actually move the pipe side to side! That same pipe had a crack starting to appear of the head flange too, so if that had gone right through i would have had a lump of pipe flying out from underneath the car HAHAHA!

:idea: If problem persists try using 2 exhaust manifold gaskets,
extractors may not be perfectly flat!
