yeh thats true. it all depends on how quiet you want the system to be. what is the current setup at the moment ie. full stock, cat back, high flo-cat

if you keep your current exhaust system and put extractors on it won't change the noise.
Extractors don't really make an exhaust louder or quieter, but if you have a sports exhaust you'll find that different extractors will change when it is loudest - e.g. with pacemaker comps it gets loud early then quietens down, with the lukey headers it was loud only after 2,500 rpm.

Some shops will fit them for free because you bought them from them, or some shops will charge. Depends, probably not a lot usually.

Most exhaust place will charge ne where between $40-$100 to put in a set of extractors. I mean down here it only costs about $50, but up towards the city it would be a bit more expensive.

is it just as simple and unbolting the old manifold and putting the new one on with new gaskets. My dad is a retired mechanic but he pretends to not know s**t because he doesn't want me doing s**t to the engine.

I just had extractors put on with a full lukey system. I got the system with two mufflers and a high flow cat and it is still fairly quiet yet has noticeably more power.

no as extractors are usally longer than the standard manifold so some cuttign and welind is required

Fitted for $150. Total cost $500

My mate has extractors and a 2.5" exhaust and his sounds a little rougher and louder than mine, and mine does not have extractors.

When i say rougher i mean in a good way!
