That's exactly what happened in our old ED Fairmont, and it was the coil s**t itself. Parents came to pick me up from a friend's place and shut the car off to come in for a cuppa - went back out and it turned about 1/2 a turn and just stopped. Had to walk home because the falc was behind their cars lol

yeh coilpack is probably the most logical thing.
check for spark would be the first thing.
has it got fuel in it? can you hear the fuel pump buzzing just before starting it?

hey hows it goin, you should check the ignition module as well because same s**t happened to me and i took it to some ecu specalist place "EFI" in balcatta, they told me it was my distributor then it worked and died again they replaced the coil pack then it did it again and they replaced the ignition module which had a small crack in it, and its been alright since. well with the occaisional completely nothing moments, think i need a better alternator or maybe just a capacitor for my stereo.
anyways good luck chief cya later

remove the fuel hose from the rail, then see if its pumping the fuel through.

check the injectors....they might have just suddenly stopped working or something because a wire was loose? or battery terminals.....i would have thought it was sparkies due to the sudden stop....

People will say this time and time again.

Check all the fuses. There are a few under the bonnet. Make sure the CRT LMP fuse is ok as this kills the injectors.
