Ok, I have replaced the gasket, put the head on no probs, attached camshaft to sprocket all good, placed rockers on top, very good. Tightening the rocker assembly bolts and the socket dislodged itself and decided to fly into the dark hole where the timing chain is. And I think it went pretty deep cause i cant see it with a torch. Is there an easier way then taking off the head again and timing cover or would I be better off just killing myself.

Got a telescopic magnet? A must have for any job where the rocker cover is coming off :)

Thats why you put rag in the oil galleries and anywhere else a stray bolt or socket might disappear into.

You can also remove and replace the timing cover with the head on, not an easy job but very possible, I have done it before.
