The FG F6 6 speed is a sweet car.
My mates F6 went on the rollers at a dyno day.
Stock with 8,000km on the clock and it pulled 287rwkw.

lol that must of been a pritty happy dyno!
Thats only a loss of 33kw from the flywheel to the wheels..

It's actually 23kw, and Ford's 310kw rating is bull, it's more than 310kw!

Woops your right to
Ford must be lying about the power if there making 287rwkw stock! Or its a happy dyno.
anyway they go great! anyone know what times they pull down the 1/4?

It was not a "happy" dyno. A number of people were saying that they were 10-20rwkw down compared to another dyno that I will not name....

I've driven both in the holding yard I used to work at and the V8's were nice but the F6's were savage ,I've always thought I'd buy a GT/XR8 for touring but if I wanted to go nuts then the F6's are just plain nasty, and I'm a V8 boy from way back.

[quote="data_mine"]To those recommending NOS, that's just stupid. You can't use it on the road, and depending on the state you're in you can't even have it fitted to the engine (NSW I think is the most leanient where you can have it all installed, but the bottle must be physically disconnected). So you can only use it at the drags, and in most states, only on a trailer queen. (can't have it in your daily).

And going over the posted speed limit is also illegal.

Nitrous is not stupid, dangerous or illegal, in the right conditions.

My suggestion was not to use it illegally, rather when needed, correctly.

It is my opinion that pound for pound, nothing beats it. Full stop.

Problem is those 'right conditions' is only a drag strip.

It's illegal on road, and useless on a circuit. I've got nothing against nitrous, it is however not an option for street performance.

BF F6's are awesome.

I drove on FG F6 a month or so ago, and its a step above again. Thats one amazing engine, kinda makes the BF look a little silly.

The one thing I don't like is the non-linear throttle in the FG. It does make the FG seem alot quicker than it actually is.

Still an impressive engine, but I'd like to drive one of the Euro 4 ones to see what the difference feels like.
