I hear this faint tapping inside the cabin whenever I press the accelerator, even just a little bit, even though the engine isn't revving that hard.
Anyone else experienced this?

yeh I get a simular tap, almost like a relay clicking... even tho my car is manual, it still does it when cruzing in 4th or 5th.

Ohh yeh, Im yet to empty out the glove box... as I really think its those spare bulbs, pens sockets and random crap hitiing each other...

Looks like Im gonna have to steal some more Macca's sauces satchets to stock up that Emergency Supply...and or dampen the clicking noise!

best thing to do is to get someone to simulate it while you stand outside (or inside) and try to find what's doing it.
do you think it's coming from the motor itself or something more like the washer bottle rattling or something?

I don't know, I know it only happens when I press on the accelerator, and it's in realtion to that and the engine I suppose. It's nothing loose vibrating, the ECU doesn't make any noise at all does it?

Might be the air con. Mine does it, and I know it's the air con, whatever is under the glovebox there.

i know the sound you're on about. i hear it in mine when the air system is set to fresh. so i'm guessing when it's on recirc, you don't hear it from the engine bay. mine seems to do it more when it's a cold day. does the sound increase with engine revs in yours? i'm yet to be bothered to look and see what it is.

Yeah it's very strange, doesn't sound like it's any part of the cabin making the noise, but rather ticking like lifters or something being transfered from the engine bay right into the front passenger side. I had turned everything off inside the cabin the other day, and then I heard it. Then I thought to myself, farrrk me this engine doen't sound real fresh at the moment 8-)

I have this loud driveline hum from the auto that goes up and down in this dull pitch at 70kmh to 90kmh. I suspect this is the torque convertor doing that aswell. Could be related...
