either the heater tap has sprung a leak or, where the heater hoses join at the firewall

Theres a bunch of hoses under there too, 2 or 3 for the heater and 1 smaller bypass one. E series Falcons are notorious for blowing those hoses then promptly baking themselves. Get a coolant system pressure tester from someone, pump it up and then look. Could be a split in the metal pipe back there too, or maybe a welch plug.
