does anyone have any info on it? ive read a lot of quotes from ford that its a much more efficient and better flowing design. Id like to know how it operates and what exactly has changed, and if its within the realms of the possible to retro fit.

since this is fordmods, the home of working out retro-fitting, this is the place to start :)

Was under the impression that BA onwards has a different intake design and you couldnt put a ba intake on an e or a series?

but they will always say 'oh thing new design will flow better..' but it was just a design they couldnt be f**k implementing back when they released the eb

Ba/f and fg have a different bolt pattern in the head to the earlyer cars this is why the fg intake won't bolt straight up. Putting the fg inlet manifold on a na sohc motor would have a similar effect to using the ea/b/d log manifold. Because of the fg's advanced continuously dvct it no longer requires the switching runners of a bbm to produce the low down torque the i6 is famous for. I'm not sure however how an fg inlet would effect a b series na 6.
