wow your cars looking pretty sweet already buoy
I like the colour :D.

what mods do you have planned for it if any? :)
am thinking about doing a tradein of my forte 2000 for a fairmont ghia au s1. for pretty much the same reasons you went for a ghia, has all the luxuries and would make more sense to do mods to it :D

I am a bit surprised Buoy that you ditch the Sporty Mr2 for the Fairmont? Why the turn around? But I do agree, the Fairmonts and Falcons are way better for Cruising and going for long trips. I have often done Brisbane to Sydney trips and in all honest after my Journey( especially with cruise control) I have felt like I have only gone down the road. Nice colour too I might add. 8-) 8-) 8-)

I actually had a Mercedes Benz CLK320 Kompressor inbetween those two for a few months. Basically I maxed out my asset manager home loan (which I had a 45k overdraft + the sale of the mr2 = benz). It was nice, and I'm glad I drove it for a while, but I needed to put the money back into the house. Also the mr2 had some radiator problems (radiator at front, engine at back.... it was time to let it go).

Don't get me wrong. Later on, I plan to buy a crappy almost dead mr2 and restore it to something like what I had. That is after I have a house, a wife and 2 kids :) lol.

Or he might find something new all together?!

^^^ I mean the mr2 is a project car and not the family car. lol.

It only has 2 seats and is really impractical. It can't handle the daily grind of a family.

The XR6 turbo is the family car of choice for many ex-skyline owners... and I had a white R33 a few years back. Straight six turbos sound nice.
