Just fitted my recoed au xr8 24lb injectors to my ed xr6 and it is now running extremely ruff and idling ruff, is this normal due to over fueling? I thought it wouldnt matter cos i still have the stock fuel reg at the moment

its running way to rich now.. the 24lb injectors will still be flowing more than the 19lb injectors with the same pressure..
why put 24lb injectors in it ???? |

Ok ill change them back till i can fit my adjustable reg and go for a retune, because the tuner said lasttime that he had to set my limiter at 5800 cos it ran out of fuel so trying to see if more fual and pressure will make a difference

Yeh that was the plan but i dont have the money just yet to get it tuned, i thought they would be ok with the stock reg but o well just wasted time, ill change them back and put them back on with my adjustable reg just before a tune

All good i found the problem it wasnt the injectors it was a small vaccum line i nocked of near the regulator it goes into a pug looking thing mounted on the firewall! Seems to be okay with the injectors now

I took it for a drive after fitting these injectors and a ported and polished throtrle body and f**k me i reckon it made a big difference! Need to fit my 3.7s and get it tuned, it just revs so much stronger now i rekon

Did u knock off the hose on the map sensor? I did that once and it did exactly what u described.

how did you know the standard injectors werent up to the task with some tuning?
ive always wondered how backyard mechanics can measure AFR's by sniffing exhaust fumes?!! |

Yeh cheers bry, it ran outa fuel in the top end hopefuly set the limiter at 6-6200
 i just seen the hose off when i went to change.them back so i put it back on nd thought i better start it nd see if it was that, lucky
